Oceana Basílio is a portuguese actress, from Tavira. She made her television debut in “Morangos com Açucar”, in 2005, as Carla Mergulhão, then joined the cast of productions such as such as “Doce Fugitiva”, “Olhos nos Olhos”, “Bem-Vindos a Beirais” and “Golpe de Sorte”. On stage, she has appeared in several shows, including “Mundo Submerso”, “Boca do Inferno”, “Três Atores à procura de um Papel”, “Pele Profunda” and most recently “Maria Coroada”. She was on the board of the Sociedade de Instrução Guilherme Cossoul.
Her artistic training began in 1995, at the Clube Português de Artes e Ideias, with teachers José Lopes and Rui Pisco. She hasn’t stopped since, having Cascais Professional Theatre School in 1999. She also attended the Academia Contemporânea do Espéctaculo – ACE. She trained with Reynaldo Montero, Rui Madeira, Dinis Bernard, Jean Pierre Sarrazac, Bruno Schiappa, Joana Craveiro, Tânia Guerreiro, Gonçalo Alegria, John Frey and Juan Carlos Corazza (in Madrid).
She was awarded the Tv 7 Dias Trophies and Television Trophies – in the Best Actress in a Series in 2013, 2015 and 2017. In 2014, she received the award for Best Actress in a short film for “O Cheiro das Velas” – National Competition – CinEuphoria.
She has been a judge at the International Emmy Awards since 2019.
