Saint Andrew is not only one of the apostles of the New Testament, but also the patron saint of Scotland (where he takes the name Saint Andrew). His feast day is celebrated every year in the UK on November 30th. And of course, for James Martin’s – a Scottish brand – the date didn’t go unnoticed.
In 2022, the moment was marked once again. To this end, an event was organized to celebrate not only Scotland Day but also the return to sale of James Martin’s 32 – which had not been sold in Portugal for two years. For the second year running, GLOBAL. was responsible for the event’s production and organization.
La Distillerie was the venue chosen to host and create a memorable celebration. From food and wine critics to clients of the Hennessy Group, a total of 60 guests were welcomed to experience a unique evening accompanied by three different types of Glenmorangie whisky.
First of all, those in attendance were greeted with a “welcome drink” where they had the opportunity to sample some cocktails. Then, to the sound of bagpipes and drums playing “Scotland the Brave”, the guests were taken to the second floor. There, the Penha Longa dinner was served with each dish paired – of course – with Glenmorangie whiskies.
To round off the evening, the third moment of the evening was marked by a performance by the group Elas e O Jazz. The music was accompanied by James Martin’s 32 year old whisky.
The aim of this event was to work with a more corporate target. In this sense, and unlike last year, there were no public figures and/or media present.
