After conducting a study in partnership with the Catholic University on the need to slow down the pace of our lives, Esporão commissioned Global. to develop a communication strategy that would encourage debate and share the results. With an action timeline, we created a phased delivery plan operating on several fronts, creating differentiating and specific communication occasions for each medium.
In addition to participating in TV programmes and interviews with Carl Honoré — journalist and author of the book “In Praise of Slow” — and João Roquette, the CEO of Esporão, we also prepared press kits and press releases, developed a “Mais.Devagar” campaign website, generated content for social networks and invited speakers from areas such as psychology and sociology who could add more information to the topic. The initiative ended with a flourish – an event and a “Slow Talk” were designed, where the conclusions of the study were presented and where 50 guests were present — including journalists, influencers and business partners. Throughout 2019, the Assobio wine and Esporão olive oil ranges were also promoted.
