  • THE CHALLENGE

As part of the initiative carried out by MUDE (Museum of Design and Fashion), sponsor of the creation and placement of an azulejo tile wall by artist André Saraiva, Global Press was challenged to develop a strategy to publicize the work as a pioneering project in the conservation and promotion of the azulejo tile; to position MUDE, the project and the artist as promoters of national design and creativity, through the meeting between art and local traditional commerce and as drivers of the establishment of public art in the city of Lisbon, a catalyst for cultural tourism and the regeneration of the city of Lisbon.

  • THE IDEA

Global Press started by defining a communication strategy divided in two phases: a pre-inauguration with national and international press communication, through the sharing of information about the artist and the mural, the negotiation of interviews with him and the heads of the project’s promoters, background articles and partnerships with local influencers; and then an inauguration, the moment in which a support work and protocol management of the inauguration event was developed. Global Press was responsible for inviting national influencers, the press call and the international press trip.

  • EFFECTIVENESS

Hundreds of results were achieved in the national and international press; countless sharing on social networks; a memorable event attended by the press, fans, friends, public figures and was accompanied by the City Mayor and the Minister of Culture.
