The most recent harvest, that of 2016, of Casa do Arrabalde and Espinhosos wines is already available in the market. The novelties keep the balanced, fresh and gastronomic profile of its predecessors. The two whites of producer A & D Wines will seek the characteristics of the unique terroir of the transition zone between the Vinhos Verdes and the Douro.

With three properties in Baião, A & D Wines owns 45 hectares of vineyard from which its wines are exclusively derived. From the property Casa do Arrabalde, with 5 hectares of vineyard, come the regional grape varieties Avesso, Alvarinho and Arinto that make up the wine to which it gives name. Casa do Arrabalde white 2016, is a wine of terroir, dry, of great freshness, good acidity and minerality.

Quinta dos Espinhosos, with 7 hectares of vineyard, gives its name to the second white. The varieties Avesso and Chardonnay cultivated in the property enjoy privileged solar exposition thus contributing to a good maturation of the grapes produced there. The result is a structured wine, with aromas of white fruit and a rich and complex palate that leaves a long and pleasant end of mouth.

The preservation of biodiversity and the sustainability of the whole production system, respecting the individual character of each plot and the personality and characteristics of each variety, is the commitment of A & D Wines to the production of wines that express their origins authentically. The 45 hectares of A & D Wines are in the process of being converted to organic production.
