With the festival girl as muse, Tommy Hilfiger channels its longstanding love for rock n ‘roll for his Spring 2015 collection, in a glamorous reinterpretation of the vintage rock style from the 60’s and 70’s.
The collection features the Tommy’s palette colors of signature – blue, white and red – remixed with moody and metal colors. Vintage buttons, brocades tracks in band jackets, overcoats and bell trousers evoke the nostalgic attitude of the King’s Road. Jeans and denim jackets inspired by the 70’s archive pieces are reinterpreted in a patchwork quilt.
Patterned transparent dresses in silk chiffon with fun graphics tattoos, commissioned by Fernando Lions, honor the psychedelic art of the time. A sprinkling of constellations dot the collection through suede skirts and A line dresses.
The military tailoring sixties is seen through the collection as a greeting to the theatrical style Sgt. Pepper. The timeless silhouettes of the brand and the strict tailoring merge with a spirited vibe that is distinctly rock’n’roll – channeling the free spirit, the energy and the refreshing cool effortless style of his muses.
