Wine Spectator has just announced the TOP 100 of wines from around the world with the best price-quality ratio. In this edition Esporão has two of its wines selected by the publication: Monte Velho Branco 2016, listed in the category of ‘whites whites’ and Assobio Tinto 2015, in the category of ‘big reds’.
This TOP have criterias like the quality, price and availability and they are evaluated by the Wine Spectator tasters along the year. All the wines have the 88 points minimum, a price inferior to 20 dolars and need to have a sufficiently large production to be widely available.
Monte Velho Branco 2016 is produced with traditionally wine grape varieties from the Alentejo, Antão Vaz, Roupeiro e Perrum. Cristalized Wine with a citrine color, with lemon notes and fresh, delicated and white fruit. Fresh and versatile, it’s the perfect sugestion to the light dishes, like grilled fish, salads and appetizers.
Assobio Tinto 2015 express the characteristics of the Quinta dos Murças portion, with the same name. The result of the traditional Douro varieties – Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca – is a fresh, versatile and gastronomic wine with notes of red fruits and a long and elegant finish.
