About G-SHOCK

The CASIO shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch stands for ruggedness, born of Mr. Ibe’s dream to “create a watch that never breaks.” Over 200 handmade samples were created and tested until finally, in 1983, the first, now iconic G-SHOCK, hit the streets of Japan and began to establish itself as “the most robust watch of all time” . Each watch comprises 7 elements; resistance to electric shock, resistance to gravity, resistance to low temperatures, resistance to vibrations, resistance to water, resistance to shock and robustness. The watch is packed with innovations and CASIO technologies to keep it from being hit directly; includes internal components protected with urethane and modules suspended inside the clock structure. Since its launch, G-SHOCK has continued to evolve under the motto of Mr. Ibe “never, never give up”.
