    02 of August of 2017

Since 1985 the Esporão has commissioned an artist to create the labels of Esporão Reserva and Private Selection. This year, the company invited Duarte Belo, architect and photographer with a vast work published, to register the Herdade do Esporão and its territory. The objective of Duarte Belo, with his art and experience, captures unique places, details and perspectives. The first label of the series is now on the market with the new crop of Esporão Reserva Branco (2016), which is elegant, rich and consistent with the classic character of the previous ones.

The classic Esporão Reserva was the first wine produced by Esporão in 1985. An Alentejan wine that results from the careful selection and conjugation of grapes from the region’s typical grape varieties – Arinto, Antão Vaz and Roupeiro – from the Herdade do Esporão. With a crystalline appearance, straw color and greenish reflections, the Esporão Reserva Branco 2016 suggests rich aromas with notes of grapefruit and lemon. In the mouth it is creamy, with structure and volume, revealing an excellent balance and filling by the fruit. The end is long and elegant

The singularity of each harvest counts on the personalized contribution of each artist. In this series, Duarte Belo defined the criterion of ‘showing the earth’, its elements, the landscape, the sky ‘.
